Our Treatments

Medical Massage

Medical massage is a term that refers to special techniques used when massage is part of the overall treatment of medical problems stemming from trauma to the body.

This form of massage is often, but not always, done under the instruction of a physician, in the case of work-related injuries or auto injuries, and focuses on addressing the affected area(s).

Sports Massage

You don’t have to be a competitive athlete to benefit from this program! Sports massage is geared towards professional athletes and weekend warriors alike to help improve sports performance, boosting flexibility, working on injuries or potential injuries.

Delayed muscle soreness may be caused by a number of different factors. Some possible causes are minor muscle tissue damage, local muscle spasms that reduce blood flow, or a buildup of waste.

Chiropractic is a non-invasive and pharmaceutical-free approach to treating the body’s vertebra, ribs, other bones, and joints.

It is one of the most commonly used modalities in the treatment of physical trauma such as motor vehicle accidents (MVAs) and occupational injuries.

Acupuncture helps to relieve the signs and symptoms of many health problems. It can uncover the underlying root cause of symptoms. Acupuncture is safe, natural, drug-free, and effective.

For thousands of years, it has been acknowledged for its non-pharmaceutical, simple applications, low cost and wide range of use. Acupuncture has a proven track record of treating pain conditions and a variety of other health concerns which include endocrine, circulatory, and other systemic conditions.

Skin Therapy

Some of you may be surprised to see Skin Therapy and skincare products offered by Whole Body Wellness. I’ve rarely worn make-up. It just never seemed interesting to me. I don’t know why. I wasn’t interested in skin care products most of my young adult life either. But in the early 9o’s after I moved out West, I began to see changes in my skin due to our dryness and altitude.

Still, I ignored the signs until I happened to get a gift certificate for a facial. I went and enjoyed it and I let the esthetician talk me into trying some of the organic-sourced products she carried. The improvement in my skin over the next couple of months was dramatic.

Motor Vehicle Accident Claims

How can medical massage therapy help after an accident?

People who have been injured in a vehicular accident frequently complain of feeling like they’ve come down with a bad case of the flu. Their energy levels wane, and even though they may not have suffered any broken bones, they feel like they were run over by a bus. Whiplash victims feel particularly sore and sluggish, which can also lead to anxiety and even depression. Common symptoms include: headaches including migranes, loss of range of motion, neck and back spasms, low back pain, numbness and tingling in arms or legs, and PTSD-line events, among others.

Medical massage and other manual therapies can and do help victims of motor vehicle accidents. These treatments help restore range of motion, greatly reduce pain and inflammation, aid in the restoration of sleep, and reduce accident-related stress and anxiety, among other benefits.

Workers’ Compensation

Massage Therapy for Workers’ Compensation Insurance

If you’ve been affected by an occupational accident or injury, we are here to support you. Our massage therapists will work closely with your doctor and other medical providers to help you heal as quickly as possible. We provide neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and other advanced soft- tissue massage techniques. We accept all forms of Workers’ Compensation insurance.

Appropriate, quality healthcare for injured workers includes Medical Massage therapy. If you have been injured on the job and have any aches, pains, or stains, manual therapy should be part of your healthcare. If you do get injured at work, notify your employer and have them write an injury report. You will also need a prescription from your doctor or PCP for manual therapy. Contact the claims adjuster to inform them about your injury and the doctor’s prescription for manual therapy.

To get approved, please contact our office at (505) 557 6140 and leave a voicemail with all relevent information. Usually, you will be authorized for a certain number of appointments. If necessary, the doctor will write a prescription for more visits which will also need to be pre-approved.

*If you don’t have insurance, we accept payment by cash or credit card.
